It’s clear how much thoughtfulness has gone into everything here. Beautiful cafe and YUMMY! (forgot to take a pic of the drink before I drank most of it lol)

Nice little cafe in Cranston that serves a Spanish style coffee. Pricing was pretty good, got two drinks, a pastry and two sandwiches for 28. Coffee was very strong and had a lot of flavor, as for the sandwiches they came out hot and had a lot of taste to them. Interior is designed nice and has a lot of Guatemalan culture built into it. Highly recommended!

Cafe Ava is an absolute gem in Rhode Island, and my experience there was nothing short of phenomenal! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately set the tone for a delightful visit. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly, treating me like a valued guest from start to finish. Now, let's talk about the culinary magic that happens at Cafe Ava. The Coquito Latte is an absolute game-changer; the perfect blend of rich espresso coffee and the delightful sweetness of Puerto Rican coconut eggnog, creating a flavor symphony that danced on my taste buds. The House Latte was equally impressive, boasting a velvety texture and robust coffee flavor that left me craving more, with a hint of their housemate cinnamon syrup, divine! And then there's the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Arepa—pure perfection! The arepa was flawlessly cooked, offering a delightful combination of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The bacon was crispy, the eggs were perfectly scrambled, and the cheese... oh, the cheese! It elevated the entire dish to a whole new level of deliciousness. Cafe Ava is a true culinary haven, where every sip and bite is a celebration of Latin flavor. If you find yourself in Rhode Island, do yourself a favor and make a beeline to Cafe Ava. Your taste buds will thank you!

This is THE BEST coffee I’ve ever tasted not only in Rhode Island, but I think in my life, and I’m not even being dramatic it just is. My favorite is the Tres Leche latte and I buy it at least 3 to 4 times a week. Not only do I absolutely love the fact that this is family run because I love to support local small businesses, but this is the first coffee place ever with perfect consistency, meaning that, I feel like every other coffee place I’ve gone to, I feel like some days the coffee is made perfectly, and other days it tastes horrible because it depends who makes it. At Cafe Ava I have never had this problem. My coffee is LITERALLY PERFECT each time! You can 100% tell that they’re training their employees perfectly because the quality is absolutely out of this world. The staff is extremely friendly, hard-working, and are perfectionists at what they do. I have gotten most of my coworkers hooked on this coffee as well. Also, every time I get their pastries, they’re extremely fresh un-like other places where things have been sitting out all day. You can tell they make their pastries fresh each morning. If you’re looking for the best coffee in Rhode Island, this is it!!!!

A friend suggested that I try a macha latte here and I'm so glad I did! It was a nicely prepared macha and their service was amazing. I also had a slice of banana bread which was, too, just perfect. Their outdoor seating is very inviting and the indoor is great AC'ed. I'll be back to try their coffee and other daily baked pastries.

Loved this place! The atmosphere is truly something else — from the music to the decor, it has a unique and inviting vibe. Plenty of space to relax or catch up with friends. I had the arepa with egg and cheese and a Dirty Chai — both were absolutely amazing. The almond cake was fresh and delicious too. There are so many tempting options on the menu, it was hard to choose! Very clean and the customer service was great. I totally recommend checking this spot out.

First time coming here and love the vibes, the music, and great service. I had the coquito iced latte. It was good but it was a bit too sweet it overpowered the espresso. May 2025: Love this cafe! I come here on a weekly basis now and always get my choco flan latte or coquito latte and they’re so delicious! They are on the sweeter side but adding an extra shot of espresso levels it out a bit. I’ve also tried their pastelitos de guayaba y queso and their chocolate chip banana muffins and was pleased with the freshness. I also like how their pastries aren’t huge they’re a decent size as I always come here to treat myself. A little pricey but definitely worth it especially with how friendly the staff is, always providing a welcoming atmosphere

Very cool Spanish coffee, bakery and sandwich place, a hidden jam. The Cuban style coffee are amazing. The hit Spanish music is always jamming.
